Twilight Saga: New Moon

Robert Pattinson who was playing in the original twilight, and got quite famous especially among the teen-agers, for his charm, and being handsome, now is playing the second movie in this sequel.

The first movie was very successful and developed a lot of fan among teenagers, and of course made a lot of money in the box office. The vampire fever among teenagers also helped the flow of this movie trend to get extra boost for the original one, and now the new one called New Moon which high school girls are anxiously waiting to open on Friday.

This new movie is also very much expected to exceed the box office target, the same it did for the original one. What is interesting is that these teenager movies always make a lot of money at the box office no matter what they are about. Either they are about vampires, werewolves, or any other kind of psychopath is bond to make tons of money in the box office, and have the nasty habit of being number one movie in the country.

The target audience for these movies teenagers or young adults never disappoint the producers of these movies as always they get what they bargained for. The same happened with other movies like step up, stump the yard, cutting edge, bring it on, Hannah Montana movies, and other dance, rap, or concert movies which are targeted for youngsters.

What most of the people don’t think about is the social impact of these movies on the teenagers. New Moon without any doubt will make a lot of money, but I am sure it will be full of violence,Killing, Blood, and invasion of acceptable social values. This movie like other low-budget movies, will bring a fortune for those who are Involved in making these kind of movies, but will hurt a lot of well established society values.

It is obvious that this is only about making money, and as always money talks, no matter if it violates any of the descent values. Unfortunately you could see these young children get violent as soon as they step out of the theatre, or even in the theatre. Believe it or not, once when I went to see the movie fast and furious, the new one which was in theatres few months back, when the movie finished and we stepped out to get to our cars right on the spot I saw people are imitating the movie actors, and maneuvering with their cars right outside the theater, it was so devastating that I had to wait for those teen-agers to clear the streets before I can move my car and get on my way to go home.

So you see that even if we close our eyes to the violence and influence that these movies have on our kids, we still will be stunt, to witness what goes around us, right when you got out of the theatre. You will be amazed how these modern kids copy cat everything they see or hear, or read about it. Some of these kids even smart though, but based on what they learn from these movies they take the wrong path in their lives, as all we see some of them rebel against parents and tell in their face either my way or highway.

The other things which contribute to this phenomenon, is the rating of these movies. Remember few years back we did not have movie rating called “PG-13”, what they did actually they let the really “R” rated movie which are obviously rated for the reason that they contain violence and the language is not suitable for young people, now rated “PG-13” in order to absorb larger audience. “R” rated or not these youngsters find a way to watch these movies, but the point is even the movie industry violates its own ethics to rate a movie which should be “R” to “PG-13” just to get more audience and of course make more profits.

Well this is another side effect of modern society we live in, no respect for elderly, no respect for parents, and no respect for anybody else. In their imagination today’s kids are living in a fantasy world which is free of any bonding, which everything is according to what they want, and anything which is getting on their way is doomed to fail or being destroyed, thanks to these movies, video games, and the new way of living in the modern society.
